What Mad Pursuit explores the creative possibilities achievable through the intermingling of art, science and imagination in the quest for knowledge.
Kindra Crick’s What Mad Pursuit sculpture was auctioned by Christie’s (London), along with double helix inspired sculptures created by world-leading artists such as Ai Weiwei and Zaha Hadid. The auction raised over half-a-million dollars with all the money raised going towards what Cancer Research UK has pledged to raise for the Francis Crick Institute, a world-leading center of biomedical research and innovation. The sculpture was generously donated to the MRC Laboratory of Molecular Biology in Cambridge, England where her grandfather, Francis Crick, made his major contributions to the study of genetics.
