I am an artist and experimentalist who uses encaustic painting and print-making to combine my love for scientific inquiry with visual expression. The foundation of my work begins with an idea or a question, which may be expressed as notes or drawings. Images and mark-making build upon each other in layers, building a rich history to unearth, to bury or to reveal. Themes that emerge in my work are those regarding emotion, perception and the illusion of knowledge.
